Ethos is seeking an Executive Director (ED). In this leadership position, the chosen candidate must be a problem-solver, able to guide and support Ethos staff and teachers. Through inclusive decision-making, the ED will foster a collaborative environment where diverse perspectives are valued, and effective systems and policies are developed. Additionally, the ED will maintain strong relationships with donors, funding institutions, and the Board of Directors to ensure financial stability and budgetary fitness. Ultimately, this position is instrumental in guiding Ethos Music Center in its mission of providing equitable access to music education and enriching the lives of Oregon’s youth.

Rural Outreach Program Music Facilitators

Ethos is seeking community-minded musicians to join our team of Rural Outreach Project (ROP) Music Facilitators/AmeriCorps members for the 2023-24 school year. These are full-time AmeriCorps positions with benefits, based in rural towns across Oregon. The Rural Outreach Project not only brings much-needed music education and exposure to underserved communities, but gives music educators the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a classroom setting.

Private and Group Lesson Instructors

Ethos is always accepting applications for part-time faculty positions to teach private and group lessons from our headquarters and at outreach sites throughout Portland. Teachers of all instruments are encouraged to apply!

NOTE: All Ethos instructors undergo a strict background check through Portland Public Schools and the National Sex Offender Registry. Individuals who have been convicted of a felony are ineligible to teach at Ethos.
