Admissions & Volunteer Coordinator

Ethos' Admissions & Volunteer Coordinator is a first point of contact for in-house private and group music lessons held at Ethos headquarters at 2 N. Killingsworth St. The position is responsible for working with the Admissions Manager to coordinate music lessons and maintain relationships with Ethos' faculty and families who participate in the Music Lessons for Kids program. Following an introductory period, this position will also contribute to the coordination of Ethos volunteers.

This position must coordinate with, and be reasonably available to other employees, students, families, partners, and other organizational stakeholders. As such, this position also requires clear, respectful, and effective written and verbal communication.

Rural Outreach Program Music Facilitators

Ethos is seeking community-minded musicians to join our team of Rural Outreach Project (ROP) Music Facilitators/AmeriCorps members for the 2023-24 school year. These are full-time AmeriCorps positions with benefits, based in rural towns across Oregon. The Rural Outreach Project not only brings much-needed music education and exposure to underserved communities, but gives music educators the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a classroom setting.

Private and Group Lesson Instructors

Ethos is always accepting applications for part-time faculty positions to teach private and group lessons from our headquarters and at outreach sites throughout Portland. Teachers of all instruments are encouraged to apply!

NOTE: All Ethos instructors undergo a strict background check through Portland Public Schools and the National Sex Offender Registry. Individuals who have been convicted of a felony are ineligible to teach at Ethos.
