Wilson Vediner, Pass the Mic Program Director

Wilson started Pass the Mic in 2017 to help provide free music education to marginalized and/or underserved youth. In 2019, Wilson (along with co-creator Ben Moorad) brought Pass the Mic to Ethos, which allowed them to expand the program into more schools and communities throughout Portland and beyond. Wilson plays in the bands Point Juncture, WA and Months. He likes to record and perform music and enjoys empowering youth to do the same.

Founded in 1998, Ethos provides group classes, private lessons, summer camps and music outreach programs to over 7,000 youth across Oregon. Ethos has been named one of the top 50 after school arts programs by the President’s Commission for the Arts and Humanities on 8 separate occasions.
