Volunteer at Ethos
Ethos is currently accepting applications for summer camp volunteers!
Volunteering at Ethos is a great way to get involved with Portland’s vibrant musical community and make a difference in the lives of young musicians. Our very first instructors were volunteers who believed that all kids in Oregon deserve access to music education. By donating their time, our current volunteers are helping to carry out that initial vision, while gaining valuable music and non-profit experience.
There are many ways to get involved at Ethos:
- Assist with the planning, executing and promoting of one of our many community events
- Help with everyday office tasks
- Clean and repairing instruments
- Serve as a TA for classes at Ethos and Music Corps
- Work as a TA for our Summer Camps
- Organize our instrument library
- Hang posters and flyers for our programs and community concerts
- Paint classrooms
- Repair amps and other electronics
Volunteers must be 16 years of age or older, and undergo a strict background check through PPS and the National Sex Offender Registry. Individuals who have been convicted of a felony are ineligible to volunteer at Ethos.
If you are interested in volunteering at Ethos please fill out our volunteer application, and then complete the PPS Volunteer background check.
