Sammy Elwell

Sammy is an Oregon-born musician who is an enthusiast of many instruments. Cello is his main instrument but he loves other string instruments and percussion instruments as well. He earned a bachelor of music degree in cello performance from the University of Missouri – St. Louis where he studied with Kurt Baldwin and the Arianna String Quartet. Sammy is also a self-taught guitarist who has played in several bands that performed original music around the St. Louis area. He has returned to Oregon, and is excited to share his love of making music and to be a music educator in the town of Monument.
