Financial Assistance
Did you know that Ethos gave over $45,000 worth of financial assistance last year alone?! That’s because Ethos’ mission as a nonprofit is to make sure that every child has an equal opportunity to enjoy the benefits of a music education regardless of income.
Ethos’ scholarship program is simple — students under 18 of age who qualify to participate in the Free or Reduced Price Lunch Program at school are automatically eligible for discounted rates on classes and lessons at Ethos. To apply, simply include a letter from you child’s school documenting their participation in the Free or Reduced Price Lunch Program along with registration and payment (these must be mailed or dropped off at Ethos). If your child is home-schooled or in a school that does not participate in the Free/Reduced Price Lunch Program, please include proof of income in the form of last year’s income tax form and recent pay stub. The Scholarship committee will then contact you to determine the cost of lessons.
Here are the most recent scholarship rates:
Toddler/Preschool Classes:Reduced rates available based on proof of need (Food Stamps,Oregon Health Plan, Head Start, etc…).
Group Classes: If your child is eligible for reduced price lunch, the fee for group lessons will be $90 per term. If your child is eligible for free lunch, the fee will be $60 per term.
Ensemble Classes: If your child is eligible for reduced price lunch, the fee for ensemble classes will be $67.50 per term. If your child is eligible for free lunch, the fee will be $45 per term.
Private Lessons: If your child is eligible for reduced price lunch, the fee for 8 private lessons will be $135. If your child is eligible for free lunch, the fee will be $90.
Your request for financial aid will not be considered unless the full payment, the completed registration form, and the school letter are received by the registration deadline.
Summer Camps (full day): If your child is eligible for reduced price lunch, the fee is$135 per camp. If your child is eligible for free lunch, the fee is $75 per camp.
Summer Camps (half day): If your child is eligible for reduced price lunch, the fee is $100. If your child is eligible for free lunch, the fee is $60 per camp.
