Ethos is committed to maintaining the IFCC’s traditional focus of encouraging diversity in the arts while empowering emerging artists. Ethos/IFCC will continue renting the theater, gallery and dance hall to other nonprofits at affordable rates. Ethos will also be implementing programming including classes for Musical Theater, Hip-Hop Recording Lab, Break-Dancing, Ballet and more.
Since Ethos has accepted stewardship of the IFCC, several local theater companies have “hit our boards” such as Blue Monkey Theatre Company (“Dr. Horrible”, “Chalk Boy”), Oregon Children’s Theater (“Texting the Sun”), Staged! PDX (“Violet”), CaTs Productions (“Ladies with the Blues”) Pacific Crest Sinfonietta (“Sherman: A Jazz Opera”) and Passin Arts (“Tough Titty”). We have also hosted local music groups such as Shabava, Portland’s Electric Opera Company and Thara Memory’s Super Band.

Ethos/IFCC sponsors a wide spectrum of theater performances, art exhibits, lectures, readings, movie screenings, discussions, and classes. We also host programs initiated by independent performing companies and community groups that share our mission to bridge cultural communities.
