What is Ethos/IFCC?

On July 14th, 2010 Portland City Council voted unanimously to give Ethos management authority of the Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center (IFCC)!  This amazing building has served as a cultural hub for the past 28 years until the nonprofit that ran it, IFCC Inc., ran into financial trouble.  Not willing to see the building fall into disuse, Ethos stepped up and proposed to take over management of the facility as a multi-use, multi-disciplinary arts institution.  Within a few days of getting keys to the new building, Ethos put together a sold out choir/musical theater camp that was a huge success!

Ethos is committed to maintaining the IFCC’s traditional focus of encouraging diversity in the arts while empowering emerging artists.

In addition, Ethos/IFCC offers arts programming for both YOUTH and ADULTS, including classes for Musical Theater, African Dance, Breakdancing, Ballet, Tap, and more.
