Beatmaking Program Coordinator

Summary of Position:

The beatmaking program coordinator works closely with Ethos’ Program Director in day-to-day operations of Music Corps, taking the lead on beatmaking classes with computer/midi setups, determining curriculum and goals for students, and leading a small team of beatmaking teachers.

Duties:

  1. Teach and substitute after-school music classes

  2. Schedule beatmaking classes with site managers

  3. Prepare computer / midi setups for student & teacher use in the classroom

  4. Gather student information and maintain accurate attendance records

  5. Assist with class observations and student performances

  6. Maintain constructive relationships with instructors and site supervisors

  7. Work 1-2 front desk shifts each week - customer service, answer phones, reply to emails

  8. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  1. Experience teaching music to youth in a group setting

  2. Knowledge of audio equipment including DAWs, midi, etc.

  3. Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive

  4. Attention to detail

  5. A reliable vehicle to travel to classes and deliver instruments and equipment

  6. A flexible schedule with the ability to work during after-school hours, evenings, and occasional weekends

  7. Ability to pass a criminal F.B.I. background check

  8. Familiarity with non-profit youth work

  9. Customer service experience

Pay and Benefits:

  • Pay: $17/hr

  • Hours: 10 hrs/week + teaching

  • Benefits: employer-provided medical insurance, 11 paid holidays, PTO, and a 30 minute weekly private music lesson.
