Music Corps – Urban Outreach
Music Corps is an innovative artist-in-residence program that helps establish music programs at schools and community centers. Music Corps makes music lessons more accessible to a greater number of students by conducting classes where students attend school or participate in other after-school programs. To date, Ethos has started Music Corps programs at over 150 schools and community centers.
During the 2018-19 school year, Ethos offers after school music classes at 13 schools in the Portland metro area. Funded in part through the Portland Children’s Levy, a voter-approved tax levy for student enrichment, Ethos’ Music Corps program provides dynamic, direct and sustained music education to thousands of kids each year.
If you are interested in starting a Music Corps program at your school or community center, please contact Ethos’ Program Director, Adam Goodwin, at 971-717-6901.
