Teri has been a performing musician for 17 years in various idioms, having backed up folks from all over the musical spectrum like former Prince guitarist Miko and cult guitar hero Buckethead. She studied at Berklee College of Music and has studied under world renown jazz violinist Matt Glaser and former Turtle Island String Quartet Violist Katrina Wreede. Her main focus over the last six years has been her own music. She brings that eclectic perspective to her students whether she is teaching jazz, rock, pop, soul, American folk or classical. She strives to give a strong foundation of technique to her students, while encouraging their more instinctual creative urges.
Young violinists get combinations of reading and ear training, traditional and contemporary music which is becoming ever more popular in the string world. Vocalists can expect personalized attention to the health and growth of their voice while gaining confidence in performance and reading.
