Nick started with Ethos in 2006 as a Hip-Hop instructor. A self-taught DJ, MC, Producer, and Engineer, Nick loves to share these skills with youth. He focuses on empowering students with ability and knowledge, opening up and expanding upon what rap music represents. Nick’s philosophy is to show love for hip-hop’s past and future though progression and change. Aside from teaching at schools through Ethos’ Music Corps program, Nick also runs the Hip-Hop Lab. This unique program gives a wide range of students a free drop-in hip-hop class where they can learn from each other, practice and experimentation, as well as traditional instruction.
In 2011 Nick was hired as Urban Outreach Coordinator, where he helps facilitate classes at multiple schools through Ethos’ Music Corps program. Nick also works as Volunteer Coordinator, pairing community members who have a dedication to music with teachers and classes that benefit from their skills.
