Marcelle Irwin

Piano
Music has been a constant influence in Marcelle’s life, particularly at the age of seven when she began formal instruction through her immediate family. Her mother saw to it that she was well grounded in technique and theory and she learned to value the mandate PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!! In succeeding years, she developed a deepening and most meaningful appreciation through piano lessons, starting the flute, and participating in band and chorus. Subsequent years have led to marriage, a family of her own, further schooling in piano and the “hands-on” experience of seeing that each of her own children have the same opportunity she did in music. Marcelle believes that the joy of music begins through an honest and diligent application; it is a special connect in one’s own heart rising from a growing awareness of progress and the appreciation of a beauty that is unique to music itself. Marcelle strongly believes it is the student who decides how great that work will be. May they all do great works that others might learn!
