Christine Hurtley
Clarinet, Flute
Christine has been teaching group and private lessons in clarinet at Ethos since 2001. She has been playing clarinet for over 26 years and can also play alto clarinet, flute, piano, oboe, and saxophone. She studied music education at Southern Oregon University and has played with university and community symphonic bands over the years. Her day job is teaching ESL students at Beaverton High School. Christine’s teaching philosophy is for her students to enjoy learning the clarinet while developing new musical skills and learn the true international language of music.
