Fandango sin Fronteras performance at Ethos this Friday!
April 27, 2010

On Friday, April 30th, Ethos Music Center will present a special performance celebrating the lively tradition of Son Jarocho music and dance with Fandango sin Fronteras and special guest Laura Rebolloso from Veracruz, Mexico.
Son Jarocho is a traditional music style of Veracruz, Mexico. The most famous song of this style is “La Bamba.” Instruments featured in this style of music are the tarima (a platform that musicians dance on to create percussive beats), the jarana (a small guitar), cajón (a small drum), quijada (jawbone), and many more.
For listening samples of guest artist Laura Rebolloso, visit http://www.myspace.com/sondemadera
The performance will start at 6:00 pm and is free to Ethos students and their families and friends.
